# Fees

**Looputo does not charge any fees** for opening a position, closing a position, or modifying an existing one at launch time.

The costs of running a loop are external ones: swap slippage and the lending market's borrow rate. Neither is a Looputo protocol fee.

The Looputo smart contracts include configurable fee parameters. Fees may be introduced in the future for specific functionalities or integrations, and any such change will be communicated in advance.
